Major bank drops rate

A major bank has lowered its home loan interest rate.

ASB Bank has decreased its 3-year special fixed home loan rate by 0.30% from 4.79% p.a. to 4.49% p.a., effective for new and existing ASB customers November 3 2015, provided customers have a loan to value ratio (LVR) of 80% or less.

The rate change celebrates the All Blacks as three-time world champions.

ASB Head of Home Lending Vince Clark says as the bank that backs the All Blacks, ASB is pleased to offer this competitive rate to help celebrate the All Blacks’ win on the weekend.

“A great win deserves a great rate,” Mr Clark says.
