RBNZ to rein in housing boom with investor lending restrictions

    I think personally that further imposed changes to the banks lending criteria are really going to have a negative effect on the smaller cities and towns in new Zealand, theses are the areas we want to grow not restrict, why cant the reserve bank impose lending restrictions on a "regional " basis starting with the Auckland region.

    I think LVR 40% will make more harder for the first home buyers. Majority of the investors are the cash buyers so I don't think this make much difference to them but it will hit more the lower range people or the first home buyers.

    It appears its for investors only, not FHB's...
