Ex Fidelity Life CEO joins Stewart Group advisory board

A Hawke’s Bay wealth management company has made a new appointment to their advisory board

Hawke’s Bay wealth management company Stewart Group and their subsidiary company Boutique Advisers Alliance have appointed ex CEO of Fidelity Life Milton Jennings to their Advisory Board.

Jennings spent 29 years with Fidelity Life and the past 14 years as its CEO, at the helm during a time of significant change for the company, steering it through the purchase of Tower’s life insurance business in 2013, Farmers Mutual Life in 2007, and Lumley Life in 2003.

Milton is recognised as being an adviser focussed executive and for his forward thinking in making changes to commission structures. He is keen to see advisers acting as true fiduciaries and working solely in the interests of clients.

Stewart Group director Nick Stewart said, “We’re delighted to welcome Milton onto our Advisory Board.

“Stewart Group has experienced significant growth over the last five years and we have ambitious plans in the pipeline. Milton is incredibly well respected in the industry and his knowledge and insights will be invaluable with our next growth phase.

“Our Advisory Board members are selected for their integrity and compatibility with our values. They use their best judgement and expertise to offer sound advice and their collective opinion to the directors and management team of Stewart Group and associated company Boutique Advisers Alliance.”

Jennings said he was delighted to become a part of the family owned company, saying, “Stewart Group has a sound reputation of operating with the highest integrity and I’m excited to be working with such a progressive company at a key growth stage.

“I have known Don & Nick for many years and have followed their progress with interest”.

Stewart Group recently acquired Red Wealth Management in Wellington.
