FlexiGroup New Zealand has announced the appointment of Andy Preston, Liesl Knox and Peter Finch to three key roles within its executive team.

Preston will take up the role in October, subject to confirmation from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, FlexiGroup said.

Liesl Knox will take the role of a chief corporate services officer, where will she will be responsible for communications, strategy and planning, people and culture and legal services. Knox was a general counsel with FlexiGroup for the past five years.

Peter Finch was appointed as chief information officer, a role previously worked in an acting capacity. His experience in the IT sector includes working with Gen-i for 10 years and Telecom.

FlexiGroup chief executive officer Chris Lamers said it is an exciting time for the organisation with a strong leadership team on-board.

“In a market where regular and rapid disruption is becoming the norm, customers are expecting more than traditional payment offerings. At FlexiGroup we are working to lead the charge in this area by thinking and doing things differently,” Lamers said.

The company said the appointments were a strategy to developing its business across consumer and commercial finance in NZ.
