Major bank’s director, retail and marketing resigns

A major bank has announced its director, retail and marketing has resigned after five years with the bank.

BNZ has announced the resignation of its director, retail and marketing, Craig Herbison, who has been with the bank for five years.

CEO Anthony Healy said that Herbison innovative approach to BNZ's branding and marketing efforts was integral in moving the brand forward in a highly competitive market.

"When Craig arrived five years ago, he helped us redefine our entire brand proposition and marketing strategy to ‘be good with money’, which will stay with the bank for a long time," said Healy.

“In the last two years, Craig led our retail business as well as marketing. This period saw the creation of our broker hub which wrote $1.1 billion in lending in its first 12 months, along with the establishment of our small business hubs in Hamilton and Christchurch."

Herbison has decided the time is ripe to move on and seek new challenges.

"I want to thank him for his hard work and dedication during his time at BNZ, and wish him all the best for the future," Healy said, noting a replacement for Herbison will be announced in due course, following a rigorous search process.

The director, retail and marketing role will be covered by BNZ’s director, products and technology, David Bullock in the meantime.
