New online tool launched for the financial industry

Working Group launches online and announces nationwide Adviser Forums

Today the Financial Advice New Zealand Working Group launched an online tool giving industry participants the opportunity to make suggestions and keep up-to-date with development progress, at their convenience, 24/7.

“We’re revamping what a representative body does and want to hear all suggestions and input. The online tool - financialadvicenewzealand.co.nz – gives advisers, partners and others the ability to browse and participate in the development,” says Bruce Cortesi and Michael Dowling, Financial Advice New Zealand Working Group.

“Financial Advice New Zealand is the opportunity for us to collectively take a good hard look at what advisers want from their representative body, and how we as an industry can help more New Zealanders benefit from quality advice.”

“We encourage everyone to visit financialadvicenewzealand.co.nz, browse the news and updates, check out the events coming up, and participate in the quick surveys.”

Also today, the Working Group announced the dates for the nationwide Adviser Forums, to be held at 11 locations across the country from 31 January to 9 February 2017.

“As advisers, we have the ability to make more New Zealanders financially better off, by helping more Kiwis benefit from quality advice. The Adviser Forums will play a critical role in shaping how Financial Advice New Zealand will achieve our purpose,” says Cortesi and Dowling.

“Amongst a range of topics, the Adviser Forums will gather input on what advisers want from their representative body - for their business and for their clients - and will explore advisers’ views on how we can build trust and confidence in the community, to provide greater opportunity for New Zealanders to benefit from quality advice.”

“Registrations for the Adviser Forums are open now. We welcome all advisers to visit financialadvicenewzealand.co.nz to view the Adviser Forum dates and register today,” says Cortesi and Dowling.
