ANZ announces new GM for talent and culture

ANZ New Zealand has appointed Michelle Russell as its new general manager for talent and culture.

In her new role, Russell will report to ANZ New Zealand chief executive officer David Hisco and replace the retiring Felicity Evans on the New Zealand leadership team. She will take on her new post starting August 1, subject to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s approval.

Russell has been ANZ New Zealand’s general manager relationship services & business optimisation, working within the company’s commercial and agriculture business since 2014, and has been working across various other human resources roles within the organisation since 2005.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Human Geography from the University of Otago, a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy from Victoria University of Wellington and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
