ASB has appointed Lohit Kalburgi as its new executive general manager, corporate strategy and customer experience.
Kalburgi joins ASB’s executive leadership team from global financial services group BBVA, where he was managing director, global head of customer experience. He holds extensive knowledge base about customer-centric digital transformation working in the United Kingdom, Spain, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. He has held roles at British Telecom, Barclays and Vodafone.
“Lohit brings a diverse skill-set to the role and a deep experience in delivering uniquely different customer propositions,” ASB chief executive Vittoria Shortt said. “He has a track record as a commercial thought leader and his thinking is acutely centred on outcomes and experiences for customers.”
Previously based in the US, Kalburgi is returning home to New Zealand with his family and join ASB.
“I’m looking forward to working with the ASB team focussed on delivering the best outcomes for customers,” Kalburgi added.
