The service offers a simple and secure payment option for customers
ASB Bank has announced that it has initiated integration with Apple Pay, making the mobile payments service available to its 500,000+ customers.
As the latest addition to ASB’s suite of virtual payment options, Apple Pay offers users a simple and secured way to pay. When customers use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the secure element on your device.
The idea is that each transaction is authorised with a one-time unique dynamic security code, and it also allows clients to receive all of the rewards and benefits offered by credit and debit cards.
“We’re pleased to bring Apple Pay to ASB customers, offering them the ultimate in convenience and security," ASB executive general manager digital, data and brand Simon Tong said.
In store, Apple Pay works with iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and later, and Apple Watch.
