Ballots open for new Mt. Albert KiwiBuild apartments

The government has announced that 18 new apartments at the Tuatahi development in Mt. Albert, Auckland are now available to eligible KiwiBuild buyers.

“These are highly desirable, architecturally-designed and well-appointed apartments in central Auckland, giving KiwiBuild buyers the opportunity to buy a quality new home in one of the most challenging areas of the country for housing affordability,” KiwiBuild head Stephen Barclay said.

The 18 Tuatahi properties consist of nine studio apartments, six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom apartments, ranging in price from $435,000 to $600,000.

Barclay said that they opened the ballots for the Tuatahi KiwiBuild apartments on Monday, giving successful buyers the chance to secure ownership of their new property before Christmas this year.

The Tuatahi development, a partnership between Ockham Residential and Marutūāhu Iwi, is located on the corner of Soljak Place and New North Road in Mt. Albert. The construction of the apartments is underway and is due for completion in late 2019.

“As KiwiBuild continues its first year ramping-up phase, we will be announcing many more developments and opportunities in the months ahead. In the meantime, we look forward to our very first successful KiwiBuild buyers crossing the threshold of their new homes at the McLennan development in Papakura, in time for Christmas,” he added.
