More and more organisations continue to move to the platform

Barfoot & Thompson adopts WeChat

Barfoot & Thompson is now on WeChat to provide updates, news and market report to its customers and communities.

Barfoot & Thompson said the growing and diverse population in the country, alongside technological advances, necessitates the move to the Chinese social media platform. It claims to be one of the first real estate companies in New Zealand to adopt WeChat.

From October 23, the realtor’s WeChat account will feature industry updates, property reports, statistics, trends and latest news.

“We understand that many Chinese speakers communicate with friends, family and brands through WeChat, and using this online channel we have an opportunity to engage in a way that is more relevant to this demographic,” Barfoot & Thompson director Peter Thompson said.

He noted that Barfoot & Thompson salespeople welcomed the introduction of WeChat.

“I’m excited to be part of this innovative process, embracing technological change with the customer’s needs at the centre of our decisions,” salesperson Jacqui Ding said. “Having an official company WeChat account allows me to now easily market properties and the services of the company whilst at the same time responding to the needs of our customers.”
