Bluestone welcomes new business development manager

Residential mortgage lender Bluestone has appointed Luke Roberts as its new business development manager (BDM).

With more than eight years of experience in retail banking, Roberts brings a wealth of knowledge into his role – especially when it comes to providing stand-out customer service. Prior to joining Bluestone, he had 3 years of experience as a mobile mortgage manager at Kiwibank, where he helped thousands of customers into their homes.

In his new role, Roberts will be looking after advisers in South East Auckland and the Central North Island – including Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taupo, and Rotorua.

Alongside Donna Tames and Maree Maxwell, Roberts is the third Bluestone BDM in the greater Auckland area. Other team members include Mark Beams and Mike Kinley, who assist advisers across the lower North Island and the South Island, respectively.

Among Bluestone’s five BDMs who all come from diverse roles within business and personal banking, advisers in every region of New Zealand can now benefit from unparalleled business support and access to many decades of industry experience to draw on.

“With Luke joining us, our BDM team gains added capacity to provide high-value, face to face support advisers have come to expect from us,” said Sue Griffiths, Bluestone’s recently appointed head of sales NZ.

“We want every adviser in New Zealand to have ready access to face-to-face support, so they can continue to grow their business and find flexible solutions from prime to specialist for their kiwi customers.”
