Kiwibank sweeps 2017 Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards

Kiwibank has been awarded as Major Bank of the Year for the six-year running in the 2017 Roy Morgan New Zealand Customer Satisfaction Awards. Kiwibank Group was also recognised as the Financial Institution of the Year.

Now on its seventh year, the awards reward outstanding personal service in the previous calendar year across a range of industries including retail, finance, telecommunications, travel and tourism, automotive and utilities.

There are a total of 22 companies who emerged victorious in providing the best customer experience to their customers. International Airline of the Year Emirates was the “Best of the Best” in 2017 with the highest customer satisfaction of any company operating in NZ. This was followed by Car Manufacturer of the Year Holden, Handset Provider of the Year Apple and Quick Service Restaurant of the Year Burger Fuel.

Roy Morgan chief executive officer Michele Levine said the awards highlight the New Zealand companies that consistently deliver a superior level of customer service that retains existing customer and attracts new ones.

“To keep customers businesses need their satisfaction, engagement, loyalty, advocacy and trust,” Levine said. “Too often it can go wrong for businesses – making those that do care about satisfying their customers all the more special and worthy of celebration.

“Congratulations to this year’s winners: your commitment has clearly been recognised and appreciated by your customers. Keep up the excellent work!”
