Major bank appoints new non-executive director

The non-executive director will bring 27 years experience across business, retail and investment banking and wealth management.

BNZ has announced the appointment of Angela Mentis as a non-executive director to the BNZ Board, effective 19 December 2016. 

Chairman Doug McKay said he was delighted to make the announcement on behalf of the Board. 

“Angela has a strong combination of strategic ability with a sharp focus on the needs of the customer, which will be of huge benefit to the bank’s governance,” said McKay.

Mentis currently holds the position of chief customer officer – business and private has been a member of the NAB Executive Leadership Team since August 2014.

Her experience spans more than 27 years across business, retail and investment banking and wealth management.

“I’m delighted to join the BNZ Board at such an interesting period in the industry," Mentis said. "How we interact with our customers – be they business or personal – continues to rapidly evolve in line with changing customer expectations.
