Pepper Money brings in new BDM

Australian non-bank lender Pepper Money has announced Raj Suman as its new business development manager in New Zealand. He joins the team of three currently based in Auckland.

Suman has held various sales roles across the UK and New Zealand, and was most recently a BDM at Bluestone Mortgages, another major alternative lender in the New Zealand market. He also worked as a BDM at estate planning firm Perpetual Guardian, was a sales manager at OnePath, and spent four years as a senior personal banking manager at Lloyds Banking Group in the UK.

Pepper Money national sales manager Michelle Sargeant welcomed the addition of an experienced industry salesperson to the team.

“I am sure a lot of you have worked with Raj in the past,” Sargeant said.

“He is an experienced BDM and brings fun, honesty, integrity and great relationship building skills to this role. Raj is extremely excited to be back in the mortgage industry and looking forward to re-connecting with you all, and helping grow your business and looking after your clients.”

Pepper Money launched in New Zealand in September 2019, and is offering a range of home loan products in the growing alternative lending space. It draws on the expertise of its lending operations in Australia, the UK, Spain and Asia.
