Prospa further expands New Zealand team

Small business lender Prospa has appointed Adam Fasi as its newest business development manager (BDM).

Fasi will join Prospa’s Auckland team, and will support the lender’s rapidly expanding financial adviser network across New Zealand. A key part of his role will be increasing awareness of alternative lending, and helping advisers secure funding for their small business clients.

Fasi was previously a sales development manager at Eclipx Commercial New Zealand, and also spent time as a manager with FlexiGroup NZ. He brings over a decade of sales experience to the team, including time spent as a sales adviser at Youi Insurance.

Prospa general manager Adrienne Church says Fasi has come on board at an exciting time, as Prospa’s New Zealand business has been growing rapidly since its launch in March of this year.

“We’re excited to have Adam on board at Prospa as we continue to expand our New Zealand operations,” Church said.

“Adam has great industry experience and a proven track record that will help us deliver our vision to keep small business moving. Growing our local team is just one way we’re supporting our partners to diversify and seize the opportunities in small business lending.”

Church noted that Prospa had increased its maximum loan amount to $300,000 in the last three months, and has already provided over $24 million in funding to New Zealand small business owners. It also recently announced the development of a new $45 million warehouse facility, with a view to supporting a range of retail, professional services, building and trade businesses.

“It’s fantastic to have someone as passionate as Adam to help us deliver those ‘wow’ moments for advisers and their small business clients,” Church said.
