Suncorp New Zealand intermediated brands Vero and Asteron Life have been named finalists at the 2016 New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.
Asteron Life is in the running for Life Insurance Company of the Year and Vero has been named a finalist for Intermediated Insurance Company of the Year.
The award recognises life insurance companies who have demonstrated strong performance, responded to market changes and provided outstanding service for their customers and intermediaries in New Zealand.
Vero and Asteron Life both won their respective categories at the 2015 awards.
“Suncorp New Zealand and its brands are dedicated to putting our customers first, and generating value for all our stakeholders,” said Suncorp New Zealand CEO Paul Smeaton
“Being shortlisted for these awards reflect our commitment to our customers, our strong relationships with our business partners and the hard work and dedication of our people, and we’re delighted to be recognised across the categories we operate in.”
Earlier this year in March, Suncorp announced the new structure of its business, combining its New Zealand general and life insurance businesses together in a customer-centric model.
“Our vision is to be the number one choice for New Zealanders because we give our customers the freedom and flexibility to look after their financial wellbeing in a way that best suits them,” said Smeaton.
“Bringing our award-winning brands together under the Suncorp name will enable us to better connect New Zealanders to products, services and experiences that enhance and protect their financial wellbeing.”
The winners will be announced on 10 November.
