Nathan Miglani came to Christchurch to study business. His passion for commerce and finance was known to him in the early days as he had always felt inspired by his family-owned construction company in India. After doing several odd jobs post university, he landed a full-time sales position at Harvey Norman. It was while Miglani was working there that he fell in love with helping people with their sales deals. “I was told that I had a talent for connecting with people and I should try finding a full time job in a bank,” he says. Miglani heeded the advice and successfully applied for a home loan specialist job with ANZ, where he spent nearly two years working in the home loan division. Eventually, he decided to set up his own mortgage business which he has slowly built to a team of five. At the moment, Miglani is the top South Island franchise owner and mortgage broker for Loan Market, the biggest mortgage firm in New Zealand.
